Lostock 6
March 8, 2010On Sunday 28 Feb. 329 runners lined up for the start of the 28 annual 6 mile road race organised by Lostock AC, after a week of horrible weather forecasts the day turned out to be good, dry but a little chilly. The numbers were down on last year (probably due to our late confirmation that it was on) but still very good. Anthony Valentine of Bolton Harriers sped off right from the start and led all the way to finish in a respectable time of 30.48min. It was a big help having eight members of the CLGP to assist with marshalling the event. The last of the field also did very well to come in at 66.39min. The timekeepers and recorders did an excellent job keeping up with the steady flow of finishers, and the finish funnel looked very professional with the gazebo over it for the first time. Thanks to all who took part and to all the helpers.
