Ironman 2012

Well done to Mike Ernil and John Marsden who completed this years Ironman.
They started at 6am at Pennington Flash for a 2.4 mile open water swim after which they got on their bikes and cycled to Horwich where they followed a 3 lap circuit that went up by Belmont, upto almost the M65 then over Chorley – in total a 112 mile bike ride. After that they ran a Marathon!!!!!!!

Checkers and myself went to watch the start and were fortunate to snap this piccy of them just before they entered the water. It was a great event to watch!!!!!
